About Us
We love riding bikes with friends, meeting new people, exploring new places, seeing the world from the seat of a bike, and drinking in all that life has to offer. We here at Kickstand are dedicated to spreading this passion and the cruiser lifestyle. We invite you to join us.
Staff
It takes more than a good idea to launch a magazine. We’ve assembled a cast of characters with decades of experience in media, design, and the law... All with a common passion for bikes, community and fun.
Brad K. Evans • Editor & Publisher
If you own a cruiser bicycle, it’s likely that you know Brad. He is the brains and backbone of the Denver Cruiser Ride, president of the Human Powered Transit Authority, and the one crazy enough to start a magazine about cruiser bicycles and those that ride them around the world.
Tommy Sorensen • Products Editor
Tom relishes the chance to promote new and brilliant concepts. If you run into him, you can probably talk him into giving you some free Kickstand Mag swag that we've partnered with manufacturers like Rickshaw, sock guy and cowbell.com to produce.
Damon Bruno • Events Editor
Damon has a reputation for sniffing out a good party, so we put him in charge of finding the best cruiser events around the country to feature in our magazine. Also ensures everyone is having a good time at cruiser events large and small.
Alexander Reshetniak • Features Editor
Single-handedly kicked the Mile High City’s cool factor up a major notch with the now infamous Late Night Lounge parties at the Starz Denver Film Festival. He is a pro at putting on a party, and he's taken that passion and is taking our magazine to the next level.
James Burrus • Seeing Eye Editor
Burrus' motto: Too much is always better than not enough. He has served as editor of the Boulder Planet, Freeskier magazine, and as editor of the Denver Daily News and the Aspen Daily News. There’s really not enough space here to list all his accolades; we’re just happy to have him.
Buzz Jordan • Paper Boy
Our paperboy is actually publishing veteran Buzz Jordan, whose decades of experience in publishing and business development comes in really handy when delivering magazines out of his pick up truck and picking up pencils for the office. That, and, ensuring our long term financial success and viability.
Alaina Gonzales • Managing Editor
Alaina is a long-time Denver Cruiser and editorial guru. She has served as editor at Modern In Denver Magazine, ThisWeekInDenver.com, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles; and as a writer for Hybridmagazine.com and as a publicist/media relations for Starz Denver Film Festival. Her prize bike is a 1949 Schwinn Spitfire with a skip-tooth chain, and her puggles Breaker and Daisy share her insatiable zest for life.
Aaron H. Bible • Deputy Editor

He is the former associate editor of Paddlesports Publishing, former contributing editor for Blue magazine, and former content manager of PlanetOutdoors.com. His passions include bicycles, skiing, conspiracy theories, and Rottweilers.
Seth Davidow • Internets Editor
